Scanner woes

I've recieved yet more goodies. I know I'm trying to cut back and also save money for holidays but some cels/dougas just grab your attention.

So, I gave in, despite having nooooo space left to store these babies. They'll just be confined to the safe haven of their packaging until I rehome more pieces thus creating space in cel books.

But the real tragedy, the thing that hurts most, is the fact that I can't get my scanner to work to add images to my gallery. :o(

I think maybe on my day off I might try installing the software and drivers on here (, my laptop) and hope I can get the scanner working on here so I can update my gallery.. I've never had a pretty background or anything so I might work towards that too on my day off, but there is much to do so fingers crossed.

On a positive note, I've got an otaku gathering to look forward to in a week and a half!! YAY! A group of anime fans gathered in a hotel in London for a few days watching anime, going to arcades, Japanese restaurants, maybe going to a club to see if any of my friends can dance *smiles* Long overdue! Bring on the fandom!! (And file sharing.. my friends have much anime to share with me.. mwahahahaha! *rubs hands together*)

Right, I gotta shower and get ready for work, but I have every intention of sharing my cels and dougas with you!

Throughout the years I have NEVER come across any other audio for The Last Unicorn than that with Mia Farrow and Jeff Bridges. Now I grew up with this stunning film, but of course as the years have passed their performances just irritate me. It really does get under my skin.
I watch the credits as the names of the Japanese crew roll by and wonder if there was ever a Japanese audio. I've never come across one. Have you?

What a way to start the New Year!

This morning, not even two hours into the New Year, I have discovered that I am now the proud new owner of two Laputa cels. YAY! Laputa Castle in the Sky is one of my fave movies, let alone anime titles.
I'm very chuffed about that.
And then I've had best wishes for the New Year sent to me from a girl I grew up with but haven't seen for about five years. I'm really happy about that. I feel bad for taking her for granted when she lived just across the road, so I'll make the effort now I've learned my lesson.
So yeah, a really good start to the New Year.
Oh, and I got round to watching the bonus disc for The Descent. The out-takes/bloopers reel was brilliant! Ah, what fun! *smiles*
So yes, brilliant start to the year really.
Now I need to worry about having a good clear out of my room for I need to create space for a large rat cage for a couple of rat kittens that I'll hopefully get in a few months. (Yes, they're not even born yet. Fingers crossed the doe took this time round.)

Money crisis!!

DARN!! I had to get a couple of wishlist cels...they've been on the list so long and there was a spur of the moment sale and...well, you know me, it was a good enough excuse for me to buy them. A little bit troublesome as I'm supposed to be saving for a trip to Japan right after the new year...sh*te!!! *rolls eyes and smiles* I'll find a way to manage.
If there's ever a "anime cel otakus anonymous" I may have to join. :o/

Well, just gone through what I have to pay off and frankly, it looks bleak. I just paid for 3 cels from anime link, I have 2 cels to pay for from ebay, 3 cels from another site and then I gotta go to the PO to send off 23000 JPY worth of International Postal Money Order things, plus the fastest method of S&H possible plus they'll charge me for the IPMO...*gulp*
This is a very dark day for me indeed...but hey, I got some cels through the post today!!

Well, I did the only thing a girl like me can do, I put on The OC and enjoyed the eyecandy. Seth celebrated his Christmakkakh (sp?) and I celebrated the arrival of 32 cels and dougas...it was a good mornin for us both. ^_^ My parcels were delivered at 10.30am, so I finished viewing the episode I was watchin then took a shower, came back downstairs and there was another package on my doorstep for me! Another 8 cels...coooool!
Paul woke up after I'd finished showering so we left my house at 12.30pm. He had to meet a friend, I had to hunt for a job.
My tired lil old legs tried to take me to the job centres, but I managed to walk on by those and go to the gaming shops....drooooool!!! Then of course why go into town if you're not gonna check out dvds on sale?! So, after the gaming shops I took a detour to HMV and emerged with The L Word boxset...wasn't my fault! <- frustrated! I have no control! hehehehe.
I arrived home to just as an old friend was emerging from his house. He lives opposite but though we were good friends we lost touch...kinda. We grew up, there's a 4yr age gap, we had different interests. Still, was nice to see him. He's all grown up now! Taller than me of course, then again most ppl r so *shrugs*. We caught up then went out seperate ways. I had a dog to walk, he had to go someplace with his mum. So, walked my pooch, came home, came on the comp, logged in the new cels and dougas, put some previously scanned cels and dougas on my gallery, and now I'm here, wanting sleep, but also wanting Mischa....tough decision! Who am I kidding?! Mischa wins! *drools* Gomen! Yes, I'm gonna put four more cels on here then I'm off to go enjoy the simple pleasures in life! *grins*

Sweet dreams

Before I start, thank you klet! ^_~

I awoke at just gone 8.30am on Sunday morning after having a dream I've been waiting for for a few days....but hey, it's a long wait when u'r feelin as frustrated as me!! So, my dream...

I'm in my room, chilling out with my friend MISCHA BARTON!!! We're talkin, having a laugh while I clean out my lemmings. I'm just talkin, not keeping a check on what I'm saying and I accidently let slip that I have a crush on her. Well, I didn't get that far, I stopped talking and just went quiet coz I knew that what was said was enough for her to realise. As soon as it's said and I go quiet she sit's up on my bed, more alert, leans over to me and starts probing, trying to get me to finish the sentence, giving a knowing smile and just bein a meanie, wanting to hear a confession...Lucky for me it was time for her to go. SAFE! I get to my feet to show her out when she walks over to where I am and turns to face me. She leans over to kiss me ON THE LIPS!!! WHOO HOO!! Can't ask for much more! But I'm too shy and at the last moment quickly get up on my tip toes to kiss her on the cheek. She smiles, leans her head the other way and makes another attempt, but I bolt for the door to show her out....WHY GOD, WHY??!?!?!?! Damn, damn, f*ckity, DAMN! She follows me downstairs, calls her goodbyes to my parents, then asks if I wanna go round hers for the night. HELL YEAH! And hey, for once I accept her advances, yay! She's got 20mins before her bus is due, that's more than enough time to get changed and grab some stuff to take with me, so I run upstairs, grab my fave O'Niell jeans and bugger, I have to finish cleaning out the lemmings! And before I have the chance to fill the cage with woodshavings etc I wake up! NOOOOOOOOOOO!!! I was gonna spend the night at Mischa's! I mean I wouldn't have done anythin as I'd be too shy, but I think I could accept her advances coz she's rather determined. hehe. Awww....I tried for 5 hrs to pick up where that dream left off and all I got was other stuff. Sod's law!!

So, I came to the comp to wallow in my misery, and to collect pics of Mischa of course. Downloaded me a girl on girl kiss she did in Once and Again...why do I tease myself? Hmmm...dunno, feelin frisky is good coz I'm all excitable and have boundless energy, ppl laugh coz I bounce off walls, dunno, it overrides everything so I have no worries, just desires, that's good! haha.
So, I got a call from my mate Paul, he wanted to hang out, watch a movie, so I agreed. So, he came round, we chilled, watched The Sweetest Thing, then we watched Legally Blonde coz it was on Channel 5, then he chose to "watch" the 1st dvd volume of NGE, which he cuddled me throughout. *rolls eyes* WHY????? Argh! All I wanna do is watch TV and all he want's to do is get all snuggly. He digs me, I dont dig him, I dont actually think I dig guys, although Ben (the guy who plays Ryan in The OC is hot!!), but anyway...ARGH! So, there he is, outstaying his welcome as ALWAYS and there I am, playing host. Oh, but thanx to him bein round I got to see a Bollywood movie with Shah Rakh Khan (sp?) which was good. (Yes, I like Bollywood movies!) That ended at 4.30am...great I thought, I can still get 3 and a half hrs sleep before having to wake up to make sure I could recieve 3 parcels of cels...but NO! He wanted to get cosier...why is it only men that come after me?! lol. Guess men are better than nuthin. And they're lovely guys...I just ain't attracted to them...then again they're not my type to put it nicely. Awww....long! They're all mates so I can't run away from 'em. Well, I ended up sleeping so lightly that I got about half hr's kip! 8am I drag my sorry ass out of bed and sit on my beloved and comfy couch. FREEDOM! There's noone touching me in any way shape or form....'cept for the cat rubbing herself all over me...wrong type of p*ssy! Typical!

Well, I've spent my day on the computer putting cels up for sale on Rubberslug and dvds on ebay in order to support my addiction as I now have no income...job hunting starts on Monday, oh joy! *rolls eyes*
Well, after my one minute break to try out this weblog I gotta be off to continue slaving away at the comp, though I get to add cels to my gallery for a little while so yay!! So, I'm already off, ja ne fellow fans!
